| Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and
Steering Committee
A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) has been formed that includes community groups and business associations, from and around the project area. The goal of the committee is to enhance the exchange of information between the community and the Project Team.
A Steering Committee consisting of representatives from the: City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Port Authority of Allegheny County, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC), the project’s CAC, PennDOT, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has also been assembled to provide technical guidance.
Both committees will meet regularly to review work completed to date, identify areas of concern, and provide input and suggestions for improvements. The following is a list of each committee’s schedule of meetings to date:

Public Officials' Meetings and Public Meetings
Two rounds of Public Officials' Meetings and Public Meetings will be held during the life of the project. These meetings are designed to present alternatives as they are developed and refined and gather public feedback. Each meeting facility will be accessible to persons with disabilities and conveniently located within or close to the project area.
Meeting dates, times, and locations will be advertised utilizing local newspapers, websites, and project announcements and flyers.
