The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regretfully announces the cancellation of the Public Meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 26, 2004 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Norbert’s Church Hall.

Cancellation of this meeting was requested by PennDOT leadership in order to allow additional time to more comprehensively evaluate and analyze alternatives for improving this important intersection. The goal of this more detailed study is to review alternatives to insure a comprehensive plan is presented clearly showing improved mobility and safety, and reduction in traffic congestion and travel times in the South Hills area, in a manner that makes economic sense.

It is anticipated that the project’s first Public Meeting will be rescheduled for early 2005.
